The Sphynx cat, although described as hairless, has a very short downy coat, which can often be hard to see or
Sphynx Kitten with Downy Coatfeel, they usually have some short soft hair on their muzzle, tail, ears and feet and they are very warm to the touch.

Sphynx kittens are born with a soft downy coat and Three Sphynx Kittensare very wrinkly, when mature they should maintain their wrinkles, especially on the face and neck.

Shynx cats and kittens are not totally hypo-allergenic, their lack of hair may reduce reaction in some people but they still produce skin cells which some people will react to.
